Huawei Mate 50 series in 2022

Huawei has recently revealed its premium mate 50 series – the Mate 50, the Mate 50 Pro, and the special RS Porsche Design edition. These include the basic Mate 50 and 50 Pro models as well as the Mate 50 Pro. Let’s start with the basics.

Huawei Mate 50 series

All three Mates have a Snapdragon 8+ Generation 1 Sock. However, 5G is not supported due to US sanctions. The Pro model has a 512GB storage capacity, and can also take a NM memory card of up to 256GB. The flagship model in the lineup, the Mate 50 Pro is this model. It features a 6.74 inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh speed and a 10-bit depth of color with a resolution of 1212x2616px. Its notch is the reason for this odd solution.

Cameras with variable aperture

The Pro features a fifty-megapixel OIS main camera, with six blades for variable aperture. These can be adjusted between f/1.4 and f/4.0. Ultrawide cameras have 13MP sensors and an F/2.2 lens. The 3.5x Telephoto camera has 64 megapixels, f/3.5, and OIS. The camera uses the RYYB sensor, which is the most remarkable feature. The camera has ten channels of laser autofocus and a multispectral sensor. The RS Porsche Design replaces the 64MP telephoto camera with the 48MP periscope cam equipped with macro features.

The front features an ultrawide 13MP camera at f/2.4 aperture, as well as a 3D ToF sensor that allows advanced facial unlocking.

Battery Timing

The Mate 50 Pro’s 4,700mAh battery powers it. It also supports 50W wireless charging and 66W wired. Advanced emergency battery saving mode allows you to keep your phone in standby mode up to 3 hours even if there is only 1% left in your tank.

  • Although the same charging methods are used, the battery is smaller at 4,460mAh.

Colors

There are many color options, including Black, Orange, Silver and Purple. The latter are also available in glass back and leather-backed designs. Mate 50 RS Mate50 RS is available in only two colors, blue and purple with ceramic-backed backs. Satellite connectivity based upon the Malaysia techduffer.com Company Message 3 protocol is another highlight. This allows you to send messages and places without cellular coverage.

Smooth Display

The Mate 50 basic model retains approximately the same resolution as the Mate 50, and maintains a 10-bit color depth. However, the top display at 6.7 inches is lowered to 90Hz. Both the main and ultrawide cameras function identically, with the exception of that variable aperture. The Telephoto camera, however, is a fivefold model that has a sensor of 12MP and an f/2.4 lens. All devices have the same color options and run the new HarmonyOS 3.0 software.

The Mate 50 Pro is affordable for the 256GB version. The basic 128GB model, which is not a Pro model, is reasonably priced. The Mate RS Porsche design demands a reasonable price. At the moment, it’s not clear if they will be available on international markets.
